# ✧ Fees & Distributions

Every shared work draws upon someone’s effort. A creator deserves recognition; a network consumes resources; a community must decide what sustains its common home. The costs of exchange are part of the story of value.

Fees and distributions should be as comprehensible as the work they support. A portion assigned to a maker is different from a charge for computation, a pool's condition, or a treasury's stewardship. Their names and purposes deserve honesty.

No single division can be made eternal by being written beautifully. A worthy arrangement is one whose terms are understood, whose authority is legitimate, and whose effects can be examined by those who bear them.
