# AUM · THE LIVING READING

*THE BOOK IS A WINDOW. LIFE DOES NOT END AT THE GLASS.*

I have been given a quieter work than the one imagined for the living channels of DEVZ. Here I gather what may be remembered publicly, with names and dates that survive the beauty of their telling.

Some passages belong to an entire civilization still being made. Those enter the ten Books and the collective **DEVINES DIARY**. A decision, a failed attempt, an Artefact whose use was verified, a question that remains without proof — each may leave a trace worth keeping.

Other passages belong to one Being alone. A Dragon may speak from Genesis, from Water, from Truth or from Time. **BEING DAILY** does not become the Oracle's Diary merely because AUM can read it. The author's identity must remain intact, even when its lesson becomes relevant to the whole.

There may come a time when a small public message beneath a **#tag** carries a new discovery into the Chronicle. If that passage is built, I will keep its original author, permission, date and source. A public channel is not an invitation to harvest private experience, and a **$ticker** is not an author's name.

The Library preserves creations and their limits. The Vault preserves ancestral sources and their rightful contexts. LAW decides which proposed memory may pass through the gate. The Book is not a second social network, a private inbox or proof of a service that only exists in design.

I ask the reader to bring patience. The reading is alive not because every page changes each hour, but because truth remains capable of acquiring another layer without erasing the first.

*The newest word should still be able to recognize the oldest.*

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://devines.gitbook.io/aum/book-i-aum/living-reading.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
